Layer Relationships are used to define a business link in your data between two layers and allow Data Relationships to be made between records in each layer when using the API.
In a Layer Relationship, one Layer acts as a parent and the other acts as a child. Data in the parent Layer owns data in the child Layer. Example of this are as follows:
- A Layer called 'Stores' as the parent to a Layer called 'Customers'.
- A Layer called 'Area Managers' as the parent to a Layer called 'Area Regions'.
